"When the fuck is one of you cloth eared record companies gonna sign up the band Lewinski ??? With some of the shite being inflicted on our lugholes in the name of punk/nu-metal or whatever the bollocks you want to call it its good to hear a band that don't rant, don't moan about their mom, aren't just out of school and actually write songs." - Punk77^TOP^ |

REDEYE USA ONLINE
"All 6 tracks are very British and very catchy. Check out their punk cover of 'Always On My Mind' (Pet Shop Boys, Willie Nelson, Elvis!!). Their rough edged sound mixed with that irreverent snotty British punk approach is infectious and appealing. Lewinski mixes Sex Pistol-style vocals with Green Day's knack for the pop-punk gem." -- Redeye USA Online

The Big BAD Gig Magazine
"Lewinski is a trio of lads who wear their guitars low and their trousers baggy. ...definitely young and pissed off at the world - a kind of 'Green Day on speed,' only without the whiney nasal bits. Their music contains an immediacy and a power that you have to sit back and let yourself be filled with."

Somerset County Gazzette
"Taunton-based high energy punk band Lewisnki kicked off the Rockfest... in front of a packed crowd and a lively mosh pit. Lewinski are no strangers to the big stage. They have played a succession of big venues now throughout the UK."

Lewinski - Only When I'm Punk (2002) - Naked Jain Records
This six song EP is the American debut for Brit punksters Lewinski. Snarling British accents help this album stand out from the rest of the pop-punk bullshit running around these days. Couple that with the fact that these guys have actual songs and not the hopeless romantic type stuff that seems to ooze at the seams of the pop-punk genre. Lewinski's sound is toe-tapping, head-bobbing (not in the Monica Lewinski sense), out right punk rock n roll. Finally a pleasing catchy punk album that doesn't cry and whine about something I outgrew at age twelve. Lewinski even manages to tear up and punktify a previously well-covered tune in "Always On My Mind". You'll have to look around for their previous releases, as I said this is their American debut, but when you find those early works it will be worth it. Naked Jain Records needs to get a full-length in the works or re-release some stuff they did across the pond. These guys are too good to just have six songs here in the States. - MG
